Certified Private Wealth AdvisorĀ®
We’ve all heard the ups and downs of family, finances, a career and just day-to-day living boiled down to the statement that “life happens.” While that may be true, I believe that situations are best handled when you have prepared in advance for what you know may come and have a plan for the unexpected as well.
That, more than anything, is why I decided to become a Financial Planner. After a 25-year banking career, I wanted the opportunity to help people from a financial standpoint, in a more in-depth and holistic manner.
As a Financial Planner, I provide creative, relevant strategies that address the many issues in life that my clients wish to plan for, including funding a chosen lifestyle in retirement, estate and survivorship planning, college funding strategies, and the advancement of philanthropy. As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, I work with owners of privately held businesses to help them enhance their enterprise value for an eventual transfer or sale.
I manage invested assets for our clients in an independent and highly customized manner. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, I go to considerable lengths to fully understand client needs, wants and concerns and not only build portfolios accordingly but have developed and employ a robust process of oversight to ensure that the portfolio continues to represent the client in the manner they have prescribed. Our clients look to us to help them devise workable action plans to get them there. The most interesting aspect of this business is the variety of goals that we’re asked to help clients address. Many of our clients are very creative and are seeking advice in areas that would be considered non-traditional.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an MBA from Rivier University, where I currently serve on the President’s Circle Leadership Committee. I am honored to have been recognized by Forbes as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for NH* 2018 and 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. I have been three times recognized as one of America’s Top 1000 Financial Advisors** by Barron’s and was also awarded the Ethics Approved Seal by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants***. I am a native of the Granite State and reside in Bedford, New Hampshire with my wife Jackie and our twin sons, Taylor and Brandon.
*The Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor ranking, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings and a ranking algorithm that includes: client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receives a fee in exchange for rankings.
** "Top 1000 Advisors in America" by Barron's (2009, 2010, 2013) is based on factors including: assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, quality of practice, regulatory record, and philanthropic work.
*** Ethics approved status means adherence to the IARFC Code of Ethics with a clear record for the past five years. Members are biennially verified through FINRA, State licensing records and internet searches. Awarded in 2017.
